Meet some of the people that really need your help
There are some extra vulnerable people in the Ndegeya community, like the elderly. They do not get money from the government and many of them have to look full-time after their grandchildren as their children have left the area in search of work and income. Here we introduce you to some of them. Who can you help?
I am caring for two handicapped children, aged 19 and 14, who were abandoned, and both have autism. I previously walked down the hill to fetch water, but I fell while carrying a large jerrycan and
broke my leg. I am HIV-positive and now struggle with mobility. I am unable to work and have no source of income to support myself and the girls.
Our immediate needs are a water tank 8000 liter for us and our neighbours.
I am nearly blind and recently lost my beloved wife, Alice. I suffer from benign prostatic Hypertrophy and rely on a catheter for urination. I also experience
chronic joint pain and am now responsible for caring for my four grandchildren on my own.
Our immediate need is to all have a mattress and bedding.
I am a Rwandan refugee who fled the war. During my escape, I became separated from my wife and children. Unfortunately, I suffer from elephantiasis, a painful condition caused by a parasite that
results in severe swelling and open wounds on my leg. The clinic provides medication to alleviate the pain and promote wound healing. Currently, I rely on seeking assistance from
different families for food. My most urgent needs
are a mattress and bedding for my grandchildren and necessary medication
